Mrs. Ruth Elanore Campbell Clark, age 91 of Toccoa passed away Sunday, November 1, 2020 at the St. Mary’s Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia.
A daughter of the late Hubert James Campbell and Mary Fowler Campbell, she was born November 23, 1928 in Franklin County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Stephens County. She was retired from Coats and Clark with many years of service and was a member of Hunter’s Creek Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Clark in 2005.
Survivors include five sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Gloria Clark of Carnesville, Georgia, Paul and Caron Clark of Athens, Georgia, Danny and Susan Clark of Watkinsville, Georgia, David and Chris Clark of Matthews, North Carolina and Larry and Liz Clark of Eastanollee; grandchildren, Tara and Chip White, Hollie and Scott O’Barr, Erica and Cliff Moody and Matthew and Renee Clark; ten great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; brother, Cleve Campbell of Alto, Georgia; three sisters and brother-in-law, Betty Brady and Flora Adams both of Toccoa and Faye and Harold Hill of Homer, Georgia.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 4, 2020, 4 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Jerrell Beatty officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Scott O’Barr, Cody Smith, Cody Lathan, Chip White, Cliff Moody and Roger Campbell.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 p.m. until the service time. Due to the health and well-being of our community, social distancing must be observed. Interment will follow in the Zebulon Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Ruth Campbell Clark.
