Joseph Borders

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Joseph Borders, age 89 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered into rest Wednesday, October 28, 2020.  Mr. Borders was born  in Jefferson, Georgia the son of the late Eddie and Lenora Riley Borders, was a retired Truck Driver and a Veteran of the U.S. Army.

Mr. Borders is survived by his children, Yvonne Borders of Jefferson, Andrew Borders of Commerce, Jacqueline Joffrion of Jefferson, Alfred Borders of Commerce, and Jo Ann Borders of Atlanta.  A host of grandchildren, and great grandchildren also survive.

Graveside Services will be held 1:00 Tuesday, November 3, 2020 from the Jones Chapel Cemetery with Pastor Theodore H. Braswell Jr. officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Jermaine Strickland, Antonio Strickland, Brian Dudley and Jacob Joffrion.  The family will receive friends 2:00 – 6:00 P.M. Monday, November 2, 2020 at the funeral home, and meet at the Graveside on Tuesday.

Those attending are ask to observe social distancing, please wear protective masks and follow recommended guidelines and precautions concerning the Covid19 outbreak.
