Kenneth (Ken) Labbe, 79, of McDonough, GA tragically passed away on October 23, 2020 from injuries sustained in motor vehicle accident.
He was born April 19, 1941, in Akron, OH to Arthur and Beatrice Labbe. He was a loving and dedicated father to his daughters, Patricia and Amanda. He grew up in Miami, FL and graduated from North Miami High School in 1959. Ken received a scholarship his senior year and was ranked twelfth in a class of over 700. Along with the scholarship and his earnings from his Miami News paper route, Ken went on to Georgia Institute of Technology and earned a Bachelor of Electric Engineering in June 1965. Later, Ken received his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering in March 1976. Ken had a long and successful career with Georgia Power Company in the Transmission Substation division. He was an avid golfer who also enjoyed deep sea fishing, biking, swimming and travelling with his family.
He was predeceased by his parents Arthur W. and Beatrice Labbe. He is survived by his two daughters Patricia and Amanda Labbe of Suwanee, GA; a sister, Margaret Bresko of Hendersonville, NC; two brothers, Arthur W. Labbe, Jr. (Penny) of Canton, GA; and Robert Labbe (Lane) of St. Louis, MO.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Friday, October 30, 2020, followed by the funeral service in the chapel beginning at 3:00 PM at the Ingram Funeral Home at 210 Ingram Avenue in Cumming, GA 30040.
Ken was a loving, caring, generous father, friend, and brother. His smile is emblazoned on all our hearts and we will cherish his memory always. Although he is gone too soon for family and friends, he’s with our Heavenly Father where we will be together again.
