Terry Lee Hendrix, age 65 of Mt. Airy, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 26, 2020, at his residence, following an extended illness
Mr. Hendrix was born on December 4, 1954, to the late Clarence L. Hendrix and Lee Hendrix Welborn. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his step-father, Andrew J. Welborn and father-in-law, Rev. Ted Ansley. Mr. Hendrix was a member of the Bethel Temple Congregational Holiness Church. He was retired from the United States Postal Service. Many people know him from Carey's Department Store in Clarkesville, Georgia, where he worked with his brother, Donald, for thirty years. While at Carey's he met his wife, Natalie. Mr. Hendrix was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a man who loved the Lord and was a devoted and loving husband and dad.
Survivors include his wife, Natalie Hendrix, of Mt. Airy, Georgia; daughter, Ansley Marie Hendrix, Mt. Airy, Georgia; son, Chandler Lewis Hendrix, Mt. Airy, Georgia; sister, Kathy Hendrix, Cornelia, Georgia; brothers and sisters-in-law; Winford and Diane Hendrix, Clarkesville, Donald and Terry Hendrix, Clarkesville, Georgia, and Ricky and Pam Hendrix, Demorest. Georgia; mother-in-law, Joanne Ansley, Toccoa, Georgia; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Donna and Dan Cisson, Toccoa, Georgia; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bryan and Kathy Ansley, Toccoa, Georgia. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 30, 2020 at Bethel Temple Congregational Holiness Church, with the Rev. Edward Hood and Rev. Jonathan Fitzpatrick officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bethel Temple Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7: 00 p.m. Thursday October 29, 2020 at the funeral home.
