We are saddened to announce the passing of Samuel Lavon Bullock on October 20, 2020 at Emory John’s Creek Hospital, in the Metro Atlanta area. He was born on February 11, 1949. He was preceded in death by his father, William Bullock Sr.; brothers, William Bullock Jr., Ronald Sawyer, and Earnest Nathaniel Sawyer. His first wife, of 39 years, Yvonne Mayo Bullock also preceded him in death. Samuel is survived by his wife, Virginia Ann Bullock; sons, Martin Lavon Bullock (Cherique), Ryan Elliot Bullock; his mother, Sarah Lee Sawyer; siblings, James Curtis Bullock (Jean), Angela Diane Sawyer, Margaret Ann Brooks ( Samuel ), Carrie Vanessa Snowden; step-sons, Richard Leonard Atkinson Jr (Candice) and Robert Smith Atkinson (Danielle); 9 Grandchildren; 3 Great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews and nieces, and extended family.
Samuel dedicated 55 years of his life to helping many people to learn the truth about God’s word, the Bible, as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. His love for people was displayed by his compassion, generosity, hospitality, and his great effort to help many to remain faithful to Jehovah. Along with his family, he leaves many of his spiritual brothers and sisters to cherish memories of his fine service in the South Norfolk, Norview, Monticello, North Suffolk, and Suwanee Park Congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
