William Robert McCoy II

William Robert McCoy II, age 75 of Buford, GA, passed away October 19, 2020.  He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary Margaret Lacaria McCoy, Buford, GA; son William Robert “Rob” McCoy III, Buford, GA; daughter-in-law, Leslie Alison McCoy, Buford, GA; grandchildren, Kelley Jordan McCoy, Jacob Michael McCoy, Caleb Rae McCoy, Lincoln Riley McCoy, Ledge Riggs McCoy, all of Buford, GA; step-grand daughter, Bethany Danielle Booth, Sandy Springs, GA; sister Marilyn McLean, Mt. Pleasant, SC; several nieces and nephews.  Mr. McCoy was born December 28, 1944 in Madison, West VA.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army for Seven years.  He was a graduate of Center College in Charleston, West VA.  Mr. McCoy was a retired banker from Branch Banking and Trust after Thirty-Six years of service.  He was a member of North Metro Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, GA where he was a Sunday School teacher and sang in the church choir.  Mr. McCoy was an avid golfer and loved basketball and baseball. A Memorial Service, with Military Honors, will be held on Friday, October 23, 2020, 2:00 p.m. at North Metro Baptist Church, 1026 Old Peachtree Rd., Lawrenceville, GA, with Dr. Frank Cox officiating. Visitation will be Friday, October 23, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Church.   In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Metro Baptist Church Cancer Support Ministry, 1026 Old Peachtree Rd., Lawrenceville, GA  30043 in memory of Robert McCoy II.
