Vera H. Williams

Vera H. Williams, 86, of Cumming passed away Monday, October 19, 2020. Vera is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Hoyt Williams; daughter, Sandra Williams; parents, Candler and Lyndie Hyde; brothers, Alton Hyde, Dallas Hyde, Jack Hyde, Jerry Hyde; sisters, Sara Heard, Gladys Williams, Grace Green, and Louis Gilbert.

Survivors include her sons, Allan (Stephanie) Williams, Joe (Peggi) Williams, James (Julie) Williams, all of Cumming; grandsons, Derek Williams of Cumming, Robert (Devyn) Williams of Cumming, Zack (Brandy) Williams of Cleveland, GA, Nathan (Madison) Williams of Dawsonville, Alex (Sabrina) Williams of Cumming, Levi Williams of Cumming; great granddaughters, Jemma Williams of Cumming, Octavia Williams of Cumming; sisters, Alice Cape of Royston, GA, Brenda McGinnis of Clayton, GA; and many loved nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 22, at 2:00 p.m. at Cross Plains Baptist Church with Rev. Rex Byrd, Rev. Sam Rickett and Rev. Johnny Purcell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
