Nancy Martin, born in Georgetown, Washington DC in 1939. She later relocated to Dahlonega with her husband in 1992 where she is a member of Dahlonega United Methodist Church.
Nancy attended the Marat school and the French International school during her childhood. (Until 1953). She graduated Wesleyn college in Macon, Georgia with a Bachelor in Fine Art, majoring in Art History. Nancy was a lifetime member of the Megan Junior League and illustrated the Historic Macon coloring book. Nancy had a love for photography, spending time in Saint Simons Island with her husband, and traveling overseas.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; Richard and Annette Chappell.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 58 years; Robert Denison Martin Jr. of Dahlonega, her sister; Mariann Chappell Evans, her sons; Robert Denson Martin III of Forsyth, Richard Shaun Martin of Vermont, William Matthew Martin of Norcross and seven grandchildren also survive.
Private Services Will be held at a later date, provided by the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to; Dahlonega United Methodist Church, The Community Helping Place, or The Lumpkin Literacy Coalition.
