Richard Phillip Holbrooks

Mr. Richard Phillip Holbrooks, age 57 of Camp Road, Eastanollee passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at his home.

A son of the late Fairy Fancy Holbrooks and Grace Rudeseal Holbrooks, he was born April 24, 1963 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life. He was retired due to health reasons from Reeves Construction Company. He attended Old Union Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing music with his guitar and was an avid NASCAR fan. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Marlene Gibson Holbrooks of Westminster, South Carolina; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Jeanette and Johnny Bohannon and Judy and Mike Weaver both of Eastanollee, Nancy and Delane Smith of Toccoa and Pam and Damon Bush of Cornelia; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Sammy and Ginger Holbrooks and Danny and Carol Holbrooks both of Toccoa, Tim Holbrooks and Russell and Tammy Holbrooks both of Eastanollee; a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 9, 2020, 2 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Chris York officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, David Holbrooks, Austin Brigham, Bradley Westmoreland, Allen Weaver, Joseph Charichea and Mark Holbrooks.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday from noon until the service time. Due to the health and well-being of our community, social distancing must be observed. Interment will follow in the Old Union Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Richard Phillip Holbrooks.
