Bobby Burns Speed

Bobby Burns Speed, age 68, of Clarkesville, Georgia, passed away on October 5, 2020.

Bobby was the son of the Late Lee Roy Speed and the late Virginia Elise Smith Speed, on June 13, 1952. In his professional life bobby worked as a roofer for many years. He enjoyed his work and also was a fan of NASCAR. He will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, his wife, Linda Slayton Speed; one step-son, Reese Crone; one brother, Andrew Speed, preceded him in death.

His survivors include his sons, Jerry Speed and Michael Speed, of Clarksville, Georgia; step-sons, Gary Crone, of Tallulah Falls, Georgia, Justin Crone, of Clayton, Georgia; one brother, Calvin Speed; one sister, Beulah Love, of Mountain City; seven grandchildren, Zack Speed, David Speed, Kelsey Speed, Phillip Speed, Arizona Speed, Devin Crone, Robin; three great-grandchildren also survive him.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Beck Funeral Home 898 Hwy 441 S. Clayton, Georgia 30525, to aid with funeral expenses.
