Reginald Peyton Hodges

Reginald Peyton Hodges 3?2 of Gainesville passed away on Tuesday September 29, 2020. Our Beloved Reginald (Peyton) Hodges was born on June 26, 1988 to his parents Ms. Shannon Bell and Mr. Reggie Hodges in Gainesville, Ga. Peyton was a member of Antioch Baptist Church (Gainesville, Ga.) where he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized. 

Peyton attended both Gainesville High and Tucker High Schools where he participated in the band. Peyton will always be remembered as a man who marched to the beat of his own drum. Peyton later moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where he worked in retail distribution. 

Peyton was a conversationalist who never met a stranger. He had a personality and big heart that will always be remembered by his family that he loved dearly and the many friendships he established in his life. 

He will always live in the heart of his dear mother Ms. Shannon Bell, and his loving devotion as a Father will forever be in the hearts of his daughters Miss Jurnee Hodges and Miss Emry Hodges. 

Peyton entered his Heavenly home on the morning of September 29, 2020. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Mr. Robert Lee and Mrs. Mary Bell, paternal grandfather Mr. Edward Hodges, uncle Mr. Christopher Bell, maternal great-grandparents Deacon Garfield and Mother Dora Lee Bell Nowells, Mr. Nathaniel and Mrs. Blanche Daniels, paternal great-grandparents Mr. Andy and Mrs. Grace Wright, Mr. Oliver and Mrs. Estelle Hodges. 

Peyton is survived by his parents Ms. Shannon Bell, Mr. Reggie (Denise) Hodges, siblings Mrs. Tiffany (Olando) Mayweather, Ms. Kellie Jones, Mr. Cameron Bell-Cheeks, and Ms. Charisma Bell-Cheeks; grandmothers Mrs. Ruby N. Yarbrough and Mrs. Patsy Hodges, special cousin Ms. Brittany Williams, and special friend and mother to his two beautiful daughters Ms. Sonja Monte. 

Peyton also leaves to mourn a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family, and friends. 

The visitation for Mr. Hodges will be Wednesday October 7, 2020 at Wimberly Funeral Home between the hours of 12-8pm. Mr. Hodges’ Celebration of Life will be Thursday October 8, 2020 at Fairfield Missionary Baptist Church Statham at 1pm. Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home Gainesville, GA.
