Brother Johnny J. Brady, age 76 of Clarkesville, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, October 1, 2020.
Born in Martin, Georgia on July 9, 1944, he was a son of the late Waco Shields Brady & Geneva Turner Brady. Mr. Brady worked in sales having last worked with the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
He enjoyed woodworking and pastored churches in both Habersham County and Rabun County.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kirk Brady; brothers, Weldon Brady and Winfred Brady; sister, Linda Williams.
Surviving are his loving wife of 57 years, Louise Cunningham Brady of Clarkesville; daughters and son-in-law, Carol & Fred Craft of Habersham County and Marion Tucker of Blairsville; grandchildren and spouses, Amber Pendley, Tommy Pendley, Amanda & Granger Clark, Greg & Ashley Webb, Taylor Savage, Lucas Savage, Deanna Harrison, Lyndee Harrison, Jessie & Michael Savage, Jessica & Nathan Lambert, Shania & Todd Roper, Cheyanne & Chris Shockley, Erin Vandiver, Ella Vandiver & BB Vandiver; great-grandchildren, Amilya Webb, Daniel Mathis, Aubree Davison and Weston Shockley; brother, Melvin Brady of Toccoa; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dennis & Rhonda Cunningham of California; several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm, Sunday October 4, 2020 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Danny O’Kelly, Rev. Devin O’Kelly and Jeremy Vandiver officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
