Dr. Larry O. Purcell, 71, passed away on Tuesday, September 29th, 2020
Larry was born to Laverne and Henry Purcell on February 9th, 1949. After high school, he attended Georgia Southern. There, he met the love of his life, Shirley. They married in 1974 and had two daughters, who never doubted his love for them.
Larry never met a stranger. He was extremely protective of his family and fiercely proud of all his grandsons. He also was the number one fan of the Georgia Bulldogs – GO DAWGS!
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Purcell; daughter and son-in-law, Karyn and Aaron Campagnone; daughter and son-in-law, Kristi and Paul Southerland; grandchildren, Tyler, Logan and Joey Campagnone; Tristan and Nikolas Southerland; sisters, Trinda Brunner and Sondra Perry as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2PM Saturday October 3rd at the Barrett Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Michael Parker will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 5PM – 7PM Friday, October 2nd at Barrett Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Yonah View Memorial Gardens.
