Jeffery Keith Lyles

Jeffrey Keith Lyles 62 of Alpharetta On Wednesday, September 23, 2020 Jeffrey Keith Lyles, loving husband and father passed away at the age of 62. Jeffrey was born on January 22, 1958 in Aurora, IL to Eugene and Yolonda Lyles. His family and neighborhood friends helped develop him into the young man he needed to be. After graduating high school Mr. Lyles enlisted in the United States Navy. During his time as a Communications and Intelligence Specialist in the Navy, Jeff was honored with the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and the Humanitarian Service Medal. This ignited the spirit of service that he maintained throughout his life. After honorably serving in the military, Jeffrey Lyles pursued a career in the construction and labor industry in the state of California. He quickly became accustomed to the early mornings, long days and hard work and rapidly excelled in his field. Calling the Laborer Union in El Monte, CA home, Jeff moved up the ranks and became the President of Laborers, Local 1082. He would later retire from the same organization that he gave so much dedication. One of his favorite sayings became, “I’m retired… never to return to work.” On April 5th of 1985, he married Cynthia Dorene Senters and would later move to Victorville, CA. Together they raised two sons, Ronnie and Maurice. Jeff’s passion for philanthropy and fun was motivation for everyone who crossed his path. He always had a heart for the youth and served as a mentor to many. He loved to travel and take long road trips believing everything was just down the street. Jeff was an avid sports enthusiast who loved the San Francisco 49ers (football) and Detroit Pistons (Basketball) as well as any other sport he could find on ESPN. He was known for his elaborate storytelling, his infectious laugh, and his kind and compassionate spirit. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father Eugene, his mother Yolanda, and sister Cecelia. He is survived by his wife Cynthia, his two sons, Ronnie (Kesha) and Maurice (Kayla), his siblings Michael Lyles, Gregory (Veronica) Lyles, Candace (Michael) Pryce, Kim (Dannie) Sanders, Robert Lyles, Stacy Lyles, Eugene Lyles, and Gina Lyles, six grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and members of his church family and friends. Jeffrey Lyles a believer in Christ shared God’s love everywhere he went. He spent his last 15 years enjoying the seasons and nature that Alpharetta, GA has to offer. Known as a servant leader he has volunteered in prison ministries, mentorship programs, pastoral care, and numerous community projects. Jeff had a fun-loving and playful essence combined with an encouraging and enthusiastic smile.
The visitation for Mr. Lyles is Thursday October 1st between the hours of 12pm-8pm at Wimberly Funeral Home. Mr. Lyles' Celebration of Life will be Friday October 2nd at Wimberly Funeral Home at 11am. Professional Service Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
