Barbara Ann Martin Durham

Mrs. Barbara Ann Martin Durham, 69, of Dahlonega passed away Monday, September 28, 2020 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2020 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Bill Compton will officiate. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on September 21, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Hoyt and Grace Stover Carney. She was a security guard for EKG Security and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Durham is preceded in death by her first husband, David Martin; sister, Mary Coker and brother and sister in law, Dickie and Dore Lee Carney.

Mrs. Durham is survived by her husband, Melvin Durham of Dahlonega; daughter and son in law, Kenia and Trey Smith of Cleveland; son and daughter in law, Tim and Courtney Carpenter of Clermont; grandchildren, Coby Carpenter, Karie Carpenter, Mark Smith, Destiny Smith, Faith Smith, Michael Smith, Cayleigh Carpenter, Caden Webb, Cody Rogers, Khloe Durham, Madison Durham; daughter in law, Crystal Durham of Gainesville;  sister and brother in law, Linda and Ronald Beck, brothers and sisters in law, Douglas and Judy Carney, Runt and Jimmie Carney, Jimmy Carney and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
