Luther Lee Hanson

Luther Lee Hanson, age 87 yrs. of Buford, GA passed away September 21, 2020.  He is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Lucille Loving Hanson; parents, Leon and Izella Bowen Hanson; brother, Bob Hanson.  He is survived by sons, Gary (Earlene) Hanson, Buford, GA, Bobby (Debbie) Hanson, Alpharetta, GA, Wayne (Darlene) Hanson, Winder, GA; grandchildren, Sonia Gray, Jeffrey Hanson, Meagan Hanson, Gale Riley, Rebecca Colley, Laura Hanson; Thirteen great-grandchildren; brother, Jim (Opal) Hanson, Braselton, GA; sister-in-laws, Betty Dewey Loving, Buford, GA, Elsie Loving Parker, Buford, GA; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Mr. Hanson was born May 3, 1933 in Winder, GA.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  Mr. Hanson was retired from Dolco Packing Company, Lawrenceville, GA, as a maintenance technician after 28 years.  He was a member of Buford Church of God.  He enjoyed being with his family and eating out and riding his three-wheeler.  Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Reverend Kenneth Parker officiating.  Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Buford, GA.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, September 23, 2020 from 4:00 p.m.to 8:00 p.m.   The family requests everyone to wear a mask for safety and social distancing.
