Obituary Date: Monday, September 21, 2020

Mrs. Glennis Pearl Dale, 75, of Cumming passed away Monday, September 21, 2020 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2020 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

The family request that everyone please practice social distancing and wear a mask.

Born on May 3, 1945 in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Bessie McIntyre Hamby. She was retired from Guilford Mills and a member of Free Chapel Worship Center.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dale is preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Dale; grandson, Kenneth Lanier Akins, II; and brothers, Edward Hamby, J.D. Hamby and Jimmy Hamby.

Mrs. Dale is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Shelia and Lanier Akins of Cumming, Trudy and Charles Thayer of AL; son and daughter in law, Eddie and Janice Dale of Alto, GA; granddaughters, Tiffany Buteau of Gainesville, Kayla Akins of Cumming; great grandsons, Levi Buteau, Elijah Buteau; great granddaughter, Aniyah Buteau; sister and brother in law, Vernice and Danny Garner of Gainesville; brother and sister in law, Jessie Lavone Hamby and Lori Hamby of LA and a number of other relatives.
