Ruth Rogers

Ruth Rogers, 81, of Cornelia passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Terry Rice will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until the service hour.

Born on September 18, 1939 in Cumming, GA she was the daughter of the late Claude and Harriett Brogdon Roper. She was an inspector for the U.S. D.A. and a member of Level Grove Baptist Church in Cornelia.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rogers is preceded in death by her husband, Delmer Rogers, Sr. and a number of brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Rogers is survived by her daughter and son in law, Elaine and Jarvis Cook of Cornelia; son and daughter in law, Delmer and Leanne Rogers of Dewy Rose; daughter and son in law, Annette and Brian Sloan of Flowery Branch; grandchildren, Brandon and Abigail Sloan, Caitlin and Blaine Hardy, Karis Sloan, Jarrod and Heather Buffington, Colby Cook; great grandchildren, Eli Buffington, Melody Sloan, Alayna Sloan, Nylah Sloan; sister, Mary Miller of Gainesville and a number of other relatives.
