Joshua “Josh” Griff Ledbetter

Joshua “Josh” Griff Ledbetter, age 36, passed away September 10,2020. He was preceded in death by his father, Rick Ledbetter, and grandparents Ervin and Barbara Gooch and Kenneth and Barbara Ledbetter. Joshua is survived by his mother Anita Ledbetter of Gainesville, son Bradley Ledbetter of Gainesville, Brother and sister in law Kody and Robyn Ledbetter and niece and nephew Scarlett and Lincoln Ledbetter of Flowery Branch, and many aunts, uncles and cousins,

Josh was known to those who knew and loved him for his kind and tender heart as well as his contagious smile.  He was also known for his warm hugs, which ultimately earned the nickname of “Ledibear.”  His friends often referred to him as a helper and a healer as he was always ready to lend his attention and support to anyone suffering.  Josh was the kind of man who would give the shirt off of his back to someone in need, and literally did just that on numerous occasions.  Even in his darkest of days Josh clung to his life’s purpose to help others and was able to save 23 young lives from leaving this Earth too soon as a result of addiction

Josh embodied a life of compassion and wile it was too short lived, his love for his family and friends will never be forgotten. Josh brought light into an often dark world and will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday September 16, 2020 at 5:30 pm in the chapel of Dahlonega Funeral Home.  Family will receive friends from 4:00 pm on Wednesday until the time of service. The memorial service will be live streamed via Facebook Live from the Dahlonega Funeral Home's Facebook page.
