Doris “Dottie” Knowles Bent

Doris “Dottie” Knowles Bent passed away at home in Buford, GA, on September 7th, 2020 at the age of 76.

Blessed to have had two true loves in her life, Dottie married her first husband and father of her children, Allan Knowles, in 1960 and they shared a loving marriage of 25 years before being separated by his passing. She later married Bill Bent and they were happily married for 27 years.

Dottie took great pride in being a homemaker and taking wonderful care of her family. She loved to crochet and work on her yard and flower gardens. She was an avid cook.

Dottie is survived by her daughter Beth Knowles and son Robby Knowles of GA, step-daughters Cheri Fagalde and Susie Thier of CA as well as grandchildren; Rebecca, Hali and Jacquelin, step-grandchildren Rudy, Phillip, Adam and Michelle, great grandchild Hazel and five step-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by husbands Allan Knowles and Bill Bent, son, Leigh Knowles, brother Billy Phillips and parents Pete and Irene Phillips.

No formal service is scheduled at this time. A small graveside service will be held in the future.
