Colleen Sexton Allison

Mrs. Colleen Sexton Allison, 93, of Gainesville passed away September 8, 2020 following a brief illness.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2020 in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Mark Hutchins and Rev. Clinton Sexton will officiate. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday, September 10, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on October 31, 1926 in Norcross, GA she was the daughter of the late Forrest Carter Sexton and the late Frances Elizabeth Harbin Sexton. She was retired from Leece Neville where she worked in the inspection department. After Mrs. Allison retired, she enjoyed her family and writing poems. Mrs. Allison was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Allison is preceded in death by her husband, Claud Allison; sons, Melvin Allison and Kim Allison.

Mrs. Allison is survived by daughter and son in law, Linda A and Randy Collins of Jefferson; son, Keith Allison of Gainesville; 21 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother, Clinton Sexton of Winder; sister, Charlotte Hartloge of Pooler and a number of other relatives.
