Hugh Edward Oliver

Mr. Hugh Edward Oliver, 87, of Gainesville passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at his residence.

A graveside service for family and friends will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 11, 2020 in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Will Dyer will officiate.

Born on July 23, 1933 in Crowley, LA, he was the son of the late Neal and Lucile Gaudin Oliver. Mr. Oliver was retired from the US Forest Service where he was an Assistant Ranger. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Oliver is preceded in death by his wife, Jane Kyle Oliver and his sister, Jeanne Oliver.

Mr. Oliver is survived by his brother, Neal Oliver (Joyce) of Ft. Worth, TX; daughter Amy Oliver Barnes (Steve) of Little Rock, AR.; sons, Michael Oliver (Kimberly) of Palm Harbor, FL, Chris Oliver (Debbie) of Gainesville; grandchildren, Clark Oliver, Jackson Oliver, Sean Oliver, Kyle Oliver; bonus grandchildren, Jennifer Barnes Loeb, Blair Barnes; great grandchildren, Josephine Oliver, Hazel Oliver and a number of other relatives.
