Sandra Ann Van Dyke

Mrs. Sandra Ann Van Dyke, age 80, of Buford passed away Monday, September 7, 2020 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Gainesville.

Funeral Mass will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church.  Father Eric Hill will officiate.  The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mrs. Van Dyke was born July 20, 1940 to the late Alex & Mary Petraline in Cedar Hollow, Pennsylvania.  She was a member of Price of Peace Catholic Church and retired from St. John Newman Catholic Church, where she had been a Secretary.  An avid golfer, she enjoyed shopping, playing Bridge and meeting with her Sterling on the Lake Book Club.  She had an open heart and an open home for all her family and friends.

Mrs. Van Dyke is survived by her husband, Jim Van Dyke of Buford; sons & daughters-in-law, Michael & Juanita Van Dyke of Farmington Hills, Michigan and Scott & Karen Van Dyke of Hoschton; daughter & son-in-law, Penny & Scott Newton of Cumming; grandchildren, Chase & Ashley Van Dyke, Liam Newton and Joshua Newton; sister & brother-in-law, Mary Jane & Jack Leonhardt of Citrus Springs, Florida; and Many nieces & nephews.
