Mrs. Clifford Shirley Kimsey, age 90 of Toccoa passed away Monday, September 7, 2020 at Pruitt Health Toccoa.
A daughter of the late Benny Wilson Shirley and Mattie Ann Holmes Shirley, she was born November 6, 1929 in Habersham County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Stephens County. She was a homemaker and a member of The Pointe Church and the Adult Ladies Sunday School Class. She taught Sunday School for a number of years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Kimsey in 2008, infant son, Ronnie Wilson Kimsey, daughter and son-in-law, Patricia (Pat) and Gary Dover, two brothers, Bill and Jack Shirley, daughter-in-law, Judy Kimsey and by a grandson, Stacy Dover.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny Kimsey of Augusta, Georgia, Danny and Kathy Kimsey of Eastanollee and Clifton and Debbie Kimsey of Toccoa; ten grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Long of Toccoa.
Funeral services will be Friday, September 11, 2020, 2 O’clock p.m. at The Pointe with The Reverend Dennis Rafala officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Jeff Dover, Daniel Kimsey, Timmy Kimsey, Mason Kimsey, Landon Kimsey and Gabe Kellar.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Due to the health and well-being of our community, social distancing must be observed. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in the Zebulon Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Clifford Shirley Kimsey.
