Russell Joe "Chico" Cheek

Mr. Russell Joe “Chico” Cheek age 84 of Gainesville, Ga passed away on Thursday August 27, 2020 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Visitation will be held on Sunday August 30, 2020 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

 Russell was born on August 23, 1936 in Jackson County, Ga to the late James Frank Cheek and Myrtle Skelton Cheek. He was a retired Truck Driver and Carpenter and he was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Russell served in The United States Air Force. Russell is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, William Cheek, Frank “Jr.” Cheek, Virginia Mauldin Davis, and Ola Mae Campbell.

 Mr. Cheek is survived by his sister, Latrelle Cheek Vickers, numerous nieces and nephews, great-0nieces ad great nephews, great-great nieces and great great nephews.
