Reverend Claude Mahaffey

Rev. Claude Mahaffey, age 58, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2020. He was preceded in death by parents, Walter and Shirley Knight Mahaffey. Rev. Mahaffey is survived by children, Andy and Savannah Mahaffey, Cornelia, GA, Brandon and Emanuela Mahaffey, Savannah, GA, Blake and Nic Mahaffey, Monroe, GA, Megan Mahaffey, Monroe, GA, Jacob and Ansley Mahaffey, Cleveland, GA; four grandchildren, Chloe, Kayleigh, Karter, Lennon; nieces, Tracy (Branson) Gilreth, Gainesville, GA, Tabatha (Joey) Jaime, Orlando, FL; nephew, Matthew (Amber) Bailey, Barnesville, GA; sister, Debbie (Larry) Bailey, Flowery Branch, GA; uncles and aunts, Johnny and Judy Knight, Commerce, GA, Larry (Dennier) Knight, Commerce, GA, Rachel Knight, Flowery Branch, GA; Ruby Mahaffey, Auburn, GA; Sandra Knight, Gainesville, GA, Wayne Jordan, Covington, GA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rev. Claude Mahaffey was born on January 26, 1962 in Buford, GA. He was a 1982 graduate of Johnson High School in Gainesville. He had worked for Kubota Company for ten years. Rev. Mahaffey was a member of Greater Love Baptist Church in Flowery Branch where he served as a song leader, and also was a preacher. He was an avid Braves fan. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Keith Truelove, Rev. Jacob Truelove, and Rev. Larry Bailey officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Flanigan Funeral Home to help with expenses in memory of Claude Mahaffey.
