Valeria Chavez-de-Zavala

Mrs. Valeria Chavez-de-Zavala, age 78, of Hoschton passed away Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Northside Hospital – Gwinnett.

Funeral Services were held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 27, 2020 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery.  Pastor Jose Martir Bonilla will officiate.  The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mrs. Chavez-de-Zavala was born September 25, 1941 to the late Dolores Chavez and Benita Santos in La Union, El Salvador.  She was a member of Iglesia Evangelica Apstotles Y Profetas.

Mrs. Chavez-de-Zavala is survived by her husband, Modesto Zavala-Ruiz; children, Lucio Chavez, Vilma Chavez, Lidia Benitez, Maria Estrada, Susana Gomez, Consuelo Fuentes, Emma Majano and Catalina Grogan; 21 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her son, Israel Chavez.
