Rex Franklin Humphrey, Sr.

Rex Franklin Humphrey, Sr., age 65, of Sugar Hill, GA, passed away August 23, 2020. 

He is preceded in death by his father, Reginald L. Humphrey; step-father, James Piper.  He is survived by his daughter, Alisha (Micah) Dickey, Atlanta, GA; son, Rex Franklin Humphrey, Jr., Tampa, FL; mother, Ann Burrell Piper, Sugar Hill, GA; sister Lisa (Teddy) Mansard, Dawsonville, GA;  aunts, Louise Burrell Elliott (George), Mableton, GA, Virginia Burrell Pass, Sugar Hill, GA; uncle, Dub (Gail Humphrey, Michigan; several cousins. 

Mr. Humphrey was born July 31, 1955 in Corpus Christie, Texas.  He was a 1973 graduate of North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, GA.  Mr. Humphrey was a Mason and member of Buford Masonic Lodge 292 F.A.M.  He was a member of Sugar Hill Baptist Church, Sugar Hill, GA.  Mr. Humphrey was an avid fisherman and enjoyed riding his motorcycle and playing his guitar where he had written a few songs. 

A service will be held at a later date when Covid goes away.  In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in memory of Rex Humphrey, Sr.
