Rodney Wayne Fields

Rodney Wayne Fields, age 50, of Cornelia entered heaven Sunday, August 23, 2020 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Wayne was born June 18, 1970 in Gainesville to the late Roger Wayne & Dorothy Passmore Fields. He was an amazing man wearing many hats. He was a preacher, an artist, a singer and a cook. He formerly worked as a chef with Piedmont College in Demorest, and was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church in Gainesville.

Survivors include, Diane Fields wife of 9 years; brother, Wesley (Nina) Fields; sisters, Sherry Torres & Janice Lopez; a number of nieces & nephews also survive.

Celebration of Life services will be held 5:00 p.m. Friday August 28, 2020 at the Ward’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robby Ledford, Rev. Michael Spurr & Rev. Roger Abernathy officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
