Lloyd Weldon Waters, 79, of Tyler, TX passed away August 18, 2020 in Tyler, TX.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at New Haven C.H. Church with Reverend Wayne Hicks officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Born on August 8, 1941 in Atlanta, GA he was the son of the late William Alexander Waters and Alabascus Pass Waters. Mr. Waters was a graduate of Immanuel Baptist High School in Atlanta, GA and Immanuel Baptist Bible College in Atlanta, GA. A printer by trade, he was employed at Darby Printing Company in Atlanta, GA and Georgia Printing Company in Gainesville, GA. He was a member of New Haven C.H. Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Waters was preceded in death by wife of 56 years Beverly Waters; his sister Ellaree Shields; and his brothers Clarence Waters, Otis Waters, and Frank Waters.

Mr. Waters is survived by his daughter, Shelby Waters; son, Sheldon Waters (Rosalie); grandchildren, Angelica Roa, Carl Justine, and Alexander Sheldon all of Shreveport, LA; nieces , Judy Anthony of Covington, GA Debbie Duncan of Atlanta, GA, Renee Duncan of Covington, GA, and Becky Storey of Destin, FL; nephews, Roger Waters of Conyers, GA,  and Billy Andrews of Birmingham, AL.
