Marvin Glen “Shorty or PeeWee” Jackson, age 75, of Cumming, GA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 20, 2020. Marvin was born in 1945, to the late Ferd and Iowa Jackson. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Full Gospel Church in Dawsonville, GA. Marvin was a licensed and ordained deacon and minister through the state of Georgia. He was a United States Army Veteran. He loved antique cars. Marvin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend to many. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his siblings, Janice Evans, Herbert Jackson, Hubert Jackson, and Janet Jackson.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Jackson; daughter and boyfriend, Christine Pruitt and Robert Eunice; daughter and son-in-law, Amey and Preston Williams; brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Jane Jackson; grandchildren, Damian (Kassie) Howard, Aisha Edwards, Leonna Smith, and Alisha Grimes; 6 great grandchildren; along with many other loving relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held Saturday, August 22, 2020 from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Full Gospel Church, 351 Henry Grady Hwy, Dawsonville, GA 30534, with Pastor Jimmy Payne and Associate Pastor Austin Houston officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that you make a donation to the charity of your choice in Marvin’s honor. If you wish to send flowers, please send potted plants that can later be planted in the garden in Memory of Marvin.
