Ronnie Gene Cantrell

Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home announces that Ronnie Gene Cantrell, age 67, of Dahlonega, Georgia passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2020.

Ronnie was born in Lumpkin County on April 18, 1953 to Cosetta Cantrell (Davis). He lived his entire life inside Lumpkin County and was a dedicated church member of Whole World Worship in Cleveland. 

He is preceded in death by his Granny and Papa, Junior and Grace Cantrell. 

Ronnie is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Faye Cantrell; mother, Cosetta Davis; daughters and sons-in-law, Penny (Carl) Gibson, and Ima (Kevin) Adams; brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry (Wanda) Davis, James (Audrey) Davis, and Alfred (Anita) Davis; aunts and uncles, Johnny and Murdean Hunsinger, Hilda and Arnold Gentry, Lenora Woody, Ralph and Edith Bruce, Gladys and Eddie Hazelgreen, Frank Cantrell, Marvin Cantrell, and Davada and Neal Rucker; grandchildren, Nicholas Gibson, Tyler Adams, Hunter Adams, and Angel Gibson; and one great-grandchild, Zechariah Adams. Ronnie is also survived by his best friend Wanda Turner, who he was forever grateful for, for getting him into church. 

A funeral service for Ronnie will be held in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Eugene Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Dahlonega Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on  Tuesday, August 18, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and then again on Wednesday, prior to the service from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The family asks that anyone who attends the visitation or the funeral, to please wear a mask.
