Rebecca Yvonne Brown Cleveland, age 67 of Flowery Branch, passed away Friday, August 14, 2020 at her residence following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 17, 2020 at 3:00pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Taylor and Rev. Billy Poole officiating. Interment will follow in Whitehall Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 16, 2020 from 5:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cleveland was born February 27, 1953 in Gainesville, Georgia to Eldon Brown and Eunice Saxon Brown. She was retired from Win-Smith and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Cleveland will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and Gamma who loved reading, crocheting and quilting, puzzles, the mountains, Celtic thunder music, her grandkids, beautiful sunsets on the lake, her church in which she loved to sing in the choir. On September 8, 1981, Mrs. Cleveland became a Christian, learning more about Jesus and His love and then showing and teaching others about Him.
Mrs. Cleveland was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Christopher Brown.
Mrs. Cleveland is survived by her loving husband, Ronald “Dee” Cleveland of Flowery Branch; daughter and son-in-law, Tanya and Stacy Black of Flowery Branch; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Jim Phelps of Flowery Branch; grandchildren, Cade Black, Evan Black, Olivia Phelps and Benjamin Phelps; sister and brother-in-law, Vicki and Steve Bobby of Lake Hartwell, GA.
