Paul Ronny Martin

Paul Ronny Martin, 67, of Gainesville passed away Friday, August 7, 2020 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, August 10, 2020 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Keith Phagan will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Sunday, August 9, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on April 24, 1953 in Gainesville he was the son of the late Willie Bascom and Sarah Ethel Abernathy Martin. He was retired from Vintage Mobile Homes and was a member of First Congregational Holiness Church.

In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his sisters, Alice Tomlin, Janice Sue Maynor, Willie Nell Evans and brothers, Cecil Morrison, J.D. Martin, and Bascom Jr. Martin.

Our dad was a unique individual. He was a loving father that to know him is to love him.

Paul is survived by his wife of 37 years, Deborah Elaine Martin; son, Brian Anthony Martin; son in law, Ross Taylor; daughter Jesse Elaine Ortiz; son in law, Jorge Ortiz; grandchildren, Gabriel Ortiz, Miguel Ortiz, Caden Ortiz, Samuel Ortiz, Jonathan Ortiz, David Ortiz; brothers, David “Dink” Martin, James Edward Martin; sisters, Marie Pettis, Ann Wimpy and a number of nieces and nephews.
