Mrs. Georgina “Gigi” Lynn Walls Clayton, age 55 of Gainesville, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.
Graveside services are scheduled for Monday, August 10, 2020 at 12:00 pm in Memorial Park Cemetery. A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, August 10, 2020 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Reverend Joe Payton and Reverend Maxey Ladd will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 10, 2020 from 12:30 – 2:00 pm, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Clayton was born August 16, 1964 in Galveston, Texas to the George Mack Walls and Mary Grace Nace Walls. She was a Special Ed Parapro with the Hall County School System and a member of Riverbend Baptist Church. Gigi was preceded in death by her father, George Mack Walls and her father-in-law, James Edwin Clayton.
Mrs. Clayton is survived by her husband of 23 years, Michael Wesley Clayton of Gainesville. They were married June 21, 1997. she is also survived by her children, Ryan Harrison Clayton and Erin Grace Clayton, both of Gainesville, sister & brother-in-law, Amy Michelle & Jeff Crain of Gainesville, sister, Amanda Walls & her husband, Baruch Halpern of Athens, nephew, Michael Crain of Gainesville, niece, Ella Smith of Athens, mother-in-law, Gail Seyfert Clayton of Gainesville, sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law, Rachel Lara & Kevin Wallace of Gainesville, their children, Josiah and Jeremiah and Kim & Ron Lankford of Lithia Springs, GA and their child, Zackery, brother-in-law & sister-in-law, John & Sue Clayton of Wake Forest, North Carolina and their children, Robbie, Collene and Claudia, cousins, Kim & Mark Powell, Leighann Powell, Alden Powell and Buddy Powell, and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
