Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Linda Carol Sayre, age 77, of Pendergrass, Georgia, who went to be with the Lord on August 3, 2020. She knew, with all her heart, that if you are a believer, “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord”, 2 Corinthians 5:8. She will be missed by her husband, Richard whom she was married to for thirty-five years. She lived in Ohio for twenty-seven years before she and her husband moved to Georgia in 2012 to be close to her daughter. After graduating from high school, she worked as a hair stylist until she retired in 2012. She enjoyed gardening and decorating. God gave her a special talent for making things beautiful. She also had a love for animals and had rescued many. She is preceded in death by her mother, Iva, father, William, brother, Billy and son David. She leaves behind her sister, Ruth (Paul) McCaudy, daughter, Michele (John) Groffices, granddaughter, Jennifer Willard, grandson, Tony Groffices and great grandson, Jacob Willard all of the nearby area.
Linda felt so blessed that God led her to the Hebron Church where she had so many fellow believing friends. She was respected by many people and will be missed by all.
