Raymond M. Collett, age 90, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2020. Raymond was born in 1930, to the late Luther and Era Hudson Collett. He was a United States Army veteran. Raymond was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Milton, GA. While attending Hopewell Baptist Church, Raymond served as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, Sunday School superintendent, building committee member and a choir member. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Gregory Collett, and siblings, Rolf Collett, Rex Collett, Audrey Logston, Randall Collett, and Lucile Cloud.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Myra Collett; son and daughter-in-law, Kenny (Ginny) Collett; the 3 best grandchildren, Jeremy (Audrey) Collett, Lydia (Wesley) Burnett, and Lauren (Ryan) Fleming; 7 great grandchildren, Levi, Lane, Emma, Moya, Noah, Chatham, Piper; siblings, Pam (Bill) Cloud, Marlene White, Revonda (Jim) Evans, Ray (Annette) Collett, Clarice Stewart; along with many other loving friends and relatives.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA. with Rev. Lee Gaddis, Rev. Bud Sutton, Rev. Alan Sutton, and Dr. Randy Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery in Milton, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 12:00 noon until the hour of service.
Due to Covid 19, the family requests that all guests please wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines during visitation and the service.
