Avinell Cotton Carlan

Mrs. Avinell Cotton Carlan, age 94, of Homer passed away on Monday, August 3, 2020 at her residence.  Mrs. Carlan was born in Commerce to the late, George and Omie Baugh Cotton.  Mrs. Carlan was a Homemaker and a member of Nails Creek Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carlan was also preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Carlan, Jr.

Mrs. Carlan is survived by her daughters, Omie Looney of Jefferson, Rachel LeCroy of Martin, and Linda Woodall of Homer; sons, Hubert Carlan, Terry Carlan, and Randall Carlan all of Homer; brother, Billy Cotton of Homer; sisters, Catherine Shubert of Homer, Mary Lou Cotton of Homer, and Shirley Blalock of Commerce; 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held Tuesday, Aug. 4^th at 11:00 AM from Nails Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Don Blalock officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday night from 5-8 PM.

Due to the current health restrictions concerning Covid-19, all visitors please practice social distancing and a mask is recommended.
