Barbara Tatum Archer

Ms. Barbara Tatum Archer, 82, of Toccoa passed away August 1, 2020 following an extended illness.

No services are scheduled at this time.

Born on October 22, 1937 in Dawson County, she was the daughter of the late Paul James and Nell Long Tatum. She was a retired certified nursing assistant and was of the Christian faith.

A Loving mother of 7, grandmother of 10 and great grandmother of 25. She was proud of her family and prayed for them often. She loved to get her whole family together for a meal she had prepared or would cook for anyone who needed a meal. Stray animals had a home at her house, she had a love for animals and donated to the humane society.

She had a heart full of compassion that has carried down through her children and grandchildren. Her family will miss her so much, we will continue her legacy of love and compassion for others.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Archer is preceded in death by her son, Steven Andrew Garner.

Ms. Archer is survived by her daughter and son in law, Robin and Jimmy Hayes of Gainesville; daughter, Mary Holland of Toccoa; sons, Paul Wesley Garner of Gainesville, Daniel Lee Garner of Toccoa; son and daughter in law, Robert Michael and Heather Garner of Dawsonville; daughter and son in law, Angie and Lamar Bridges of Cornelia; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sister, Frances Chandler of Cadiz, KY and a number of other relatives.
