Vernice Ann Smith

Vernice Ann Smith, 57,of Gainesville passed away Thursday July 30, 2020 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday August 4, 2020 at 2pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Teffany Pierce officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday August 4, 2020 from 1pm-2pm at the funeral home.

Miss Smith was born May 22, 1963 in Gainesville to Jo Ann Smith and the late Eldin Goss, she was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She is preceded in death by her brother Trent Hester.

Miss Smith is survived by her mother Jo Ann Smith of Buford, son Rico Hawes of Gainesville, son Alexis Smith of Gainesville, sister Tammy Hester of Buford, sister Nicole Hester of Braselton, half-brother Kerry Mahaffey , and husband, Stacey Cheek, special friend Robin Young, special friend Dot Williams grandchildren Braden Hawes, Phortune Hawes both of Gainesville,
