Ida “Dottie” Hewell

Ida “Dottie” Hewell age 72 of Gainesville entered heaven Wednesday July 22, 2020 at the Bell Minor Nursing Home.

Dottie was born in Gainesville on October 7, 1947 to the late Ernest Daniel & Eula Mae Puckett Hewell. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her son, Jonathan Hewell; brothers, Kenneth James Hewell, Clarence Hewell & Buddy Hewell; sisters, Jessie Mae Ray, Clara Bell Smith & Barbara Ann Flannigan.

Survivors, granddaughter, Sarah Hewell; brother, Gene Hewell; sister, Rosie Lee Pressley. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday July 27, 2020 at the Ward’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brent Lord officiating. Burial will follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Sunday July 26, 2020 at the funeral home.
