Lamar “Pig” Millsap

Lamar “Pig” Millsap 70 of Gainesville passed away Friday July 17th. Lamar Millsap was born November 30th 1949 in Hall County, Georgia, to the late Mr. Hubert Millsap and Mrs. Mildred Millsap. He was the seventh of eight Children from this union.

Lamar graduated from E.E. Butler High in 1969. He was in the United States Army for 2 years. He proudly served in the Vietnam War.

He was a member of Widow’s Son 66 Masonic Lodge. Lamar was a devoted member of the American Legion Post 328.

His first love were his two grandchildren, who were the center of his joy. His second love was his classic cars.

Lamar is survived by his son Kevin Millsap, two grandchildren Cameron Millsap, Taylor Millsap, siblings Ruby Wilburn, Beverly Jo Millsap, Malbree Davenport, James Lipscomb, Annie Lipscomb and Betty Hopkins. Also a host of nieces, nephews and very special friends.  The visitation for Mr. Millsap will be Friday July 24th at Wimberly Funeral Home between the hours of 12-8pm. The Celebration of Life for Mr. Millsap will be Saturday July 25th at Memorial Park Chapel 11am. Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
