Ellen Jeanette Smallwood

Ellen Jeanette Smallwood, 74 of Gainesville passed away Monday July 20, 2020 at her residence.

Born in Cedartown, Georgia, Mrs. Smallwood had lived in Hall County for most of her life.  She was the daughter of the late John William and Lucy Green Temple.  Mrs. Smallwood retired from Sear-Roebuck Company and was a member of Chicopee Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Gail Wright and Halley Smallwood, both of Gainesville; grandchildren, Ashley and Joey Turbeville, Gainesville; Chais Wright and Kayla Brown, both of Andrews, NC; great grandchildren, William Wright and Weston Wright, both of Andrews, NC; sister, Cathy Molnar and family of Michigan; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Brenda Temple, Cedartown, GA; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Smallwood is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Eddie Smallwood.

Funeral services will be held Friday July 24, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home.  Rev. Phil Carpenter will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday July 23 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
