John Henry Peck

John Henry Peck, 89 years old of Flowery Branch, GA went to be with Jesus on July 21, 2020. 

John was born on Oct. 11, 1930 in Hall County. He was the third child of David and Bessie Peck.

He was a faithful and loving husband to Mildred Peck for 58 years. John worked in maintenance for many years and his favorite memories were driving an 18-wheeler for J.D Jewels where he met his bride.

John is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Tammie & Jimmy Beavers; grandchildren, Zach (Brittany) Beavers, Katie Beavers, and Jonathan (Sara) Beavers; brothers, Roger and Harold Peck and sister, Bertha Sanford.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Peck, siblings, Lee Oma Evans, Elmer Peck, Norman Peck, Eva Peck, Donald Peck.

John loved the Lord and loved to serve him. He was a deacon, treasurer, music leader, custodian and Sunday School superintendent at his church. He served his church in many ways. John was a member of Mtn. View Baptist for many years and for the last 26 years had been a member at Christ Place (Blackshear Place Baptist Church). He was passionate to get the gospel to the “young folk” and to “get them off the street and into church”.

A private graveside service for the family will be held at 11:00 am. Thursday, July 23, 2020. Rev. Rick Hermann will officiate and interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
