Douglas “Doug” Lee Standridge

Douglas “Doug” Lee Standridge age 54 of Gillsville entered heaven Wednesday July 15, 2020 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Doug was born November 16, 1965 in Gainesville to Jerry C. & Carolyn McClure Standridge. He was a welder and had worked with Kubota. Doug was a member of Gillsville Baptist Church.

Survivors include, daughters, Lorie (Callaway) Latham& Megan Standridge; son, Daniel (Christa) Standridge; parents, Jerry & Carolyn Standridge; brother, Jeff (Deana) Standridge; grandchildren, McKenzi, Lakyn, Ayden & Maci; niece, Madison & nephew, Mitch (Keri).

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday July 17, 2020 at the Gillsville Baptist Church with Rev. Shannon Rhodes & Rev. Bradley Elliott officiating. Burial will follow in Gillsville Cemetery. Doug will lie in state Friday at the church from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Due to the current pandemic please use social distancing guidelines for everyone’s safety.
