Lola Evelyn Barnett Davis

Lola Evelyn Barnett Davis was a kind and caring woman, who would open her heart, home, and kitchen to anyone in need. She always made time for her family and friends. She loved to cook and would welcome any hungry soul into her home for a hot meal. You would always feel loved, and full, after visiting Evelyn.
Evelyn passed away on July 9th, 2020 at the age of 81. She was born on September 9th, 1938 to Georgia and Lova Barnett. Evelyn was a fun-loving child and loved playing with her siblings. Evelyn had a bright and loving personality and was known for her ability to sense when people needed her help. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life.    
She was preceded in death by her brothers Lawrence Barnett, George Barnett, and Howard Barnett; and sisters Lucilla Thurmond, Corine Yarborough, Linda Faulkner, and Annette Barnett.
She is survived by her husband Fred Davis; sisters Jeanette Barnett, Lova Mae Bush (Samuel Bush), and Juanita Fleming (Colonel Fleming); and a special Great-Granddaughter Kendra Monae Cantrell. 
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2020 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday, July 16, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
