Ova Mae Ledford Corpening

Mrs. Ova Mae Ledford Corpening, age 82 of Davidson Cove Lane, Toccoa passed away Monday, July 13, 2020 at her residence.

A daughter of the late Silas and Valerie Rogers Ledford, she was born June 20, 1938 in Franklin, North Carolina having lived most of her life in Habersham County, Georgia. She was employed with Mt. Vernon Mills and Shaw Industries for a number of years. She loved flowers, working in her garden and quilting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Corpening in 2018, a daughter, Wanda Pierce, son, Kenneth Corpening and by a grandson, Stephen Pierce.

Survivors include three granddaughters and their spouses, Karri and Mickey Corpening, Kelly and Alen Vandiver and Vanessa and Shane Pierce; grandsons, Matthew Lake and Richard Pierce; great-grandchildren, Remington Corpening, Daysha Vandiver, Alli Vandiver, Nathan Finney, Naomi Loftis and Kim Loftis; three sisters and brother-in-law, Lois and Lamar Skelton of Clarkesville, Ruth Miller of Toccoa and Geannie Billingsley of North Carolina; son-in-law, Ricky Pierce.
