Jessie Mae Margavich

Jessie Mae Margavich age 88 of Gainesville passed away Sunday July 12, 2020 at the Magnolia Senior Living in Sugar Hill.

Mrs. Margavich was born in Gainesville on August 1, 1931 to the late George W. & Susie C. Dorsey Chandler. She was a school teacher for a number of years before becoming a homemaker. She was a member of the Lebanon United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Margavich.

Survivors include sons, Tom (Kim) Margavich & George (Denise) Margavich; brother, William “Bill” (Linda) Chandler; sister, Florence (Arvin) Chandler Turk; 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren & a host of other relatives survive.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday July 16, 2020 at the Lebanon United Methodist Church cemetery with Pastor Tim Lee officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday July 15, 2020 at the funeral home. Please use social distancing guidelines for everyone’s safety.
