William Bill Rucker

William Bill Rucker was born June 30, 1947 and he departed this life on July 8, 2020. He was born to the late Mr. Dorsey Rucker and Mrs. Francis Rucker.
He is preceded in death by his wife Mrs. Joann Rucker.
William was born in Atlanta, GA and later moved to Gainesville, GA where he grew up most of his life. He attended E.E. Butler and he worked as a chicken catcher and a construction worker before he became disabled.
He leaves to cherish his memories his daughters: Stephanie Curry of Gainesville, GA, Shawna (Charles) Sims of Atlanta, GA, Shelly Rucker of Gainesville, GA, Cynthia Strickland of Pendergrass, GA, Beverly Stephens of Chicago, IL; one son Edward Johnson of Gainesville, GA; 14 grandchildren; 4 sisters: Ollie Rucker, Carol Glen, Evenlyn Scott, Mary Robertson and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. The visitation will be held Monday at Wimberly Funeral Home between the hours of 12pm-6pm. Mr. Rucker's service will be Tuesday at Wimberly Funeral Home at 1pm.
