Jeffery Dewayne Simpson, Sr.

Jeffery Dewayne Simpson, Sr., 58, of Gillsville, passed away Monday, July 6, 2020 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Swayne Carlan will officiate. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Born on September 1, 1961 in Gainesville, he was the son of Grover Edward Simpson and Lillian Freeman Simpson Lancaster. He was self-employed and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Mr. Simpson is preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Ray Lancaster.
Mr. Simpson is survived by his wife, Mozelle Wade Simpson of Gillsville; daughters and sons in law, Amy Lynn and Michael Crane of Cleveland, Erica and Adam Thompson of KY; daughter, Carrie Dubois of Habersham County; sons and daughters in law, Jeffery Dewayne and Penny Simpson of Maysville, Bubba and Crystal Hawkins of Gainesville; 11 grandchildren; sisters and brothers in law, Linda and Frank Harrison of Pillsburg, TX, Gloria and Glenn Jones of Dahlonega; brothers and sisters in law, James and Betty Simpson of Gainesville, Jacky and Virginia Simpson of Commerce and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
